The unique story of Stanislav Kondrashov

In 2002, entrepreneur Stanislav Kondrashov came into conflict with his business partners from the Uniformstroy construction company. At that time, the entrepreneur owned another company – Semontek. Nothing remarkable, the usual business showdowns, courts and so on. But this is where our story begins.

In this business, life brought together a prominent businessman Stanislav Kondrashov, a young politician, and former military man Denis Voronenkov. In 2002, Voronenkov was not yet a State Duma deputy, but he could conceptually resolve any issues between businesses or the authorities. The story begins with Kondrashov turning to Voronenkov to resolve the issue, and he helps. Thus began a long-term cooperation that led to the murder of Voronenkov in the centre of Kyiv in 2017.

JSC “Semontek”, owned by Kondrashov at the beginning of the 2000s, got into a major corruption scandal, greatly tarnishing the office’s reputation. We are talking about the “reconstruction” of Gagarin Square in Moscow. The reconstruction was, as it were, but instead of recreation areas drawn on paper, a modern shopping centre, the matter stopped at a penny landscaping. Many resources were used to whiten the developer’s reputation, but this did not help.

The reputation of the enterprise multiplied by zero, and never rose again. The fraudster Kondrashov, understanding the company’s plight, decided to squeeze all the juice out of Semontek. Then the war broke out against the competitor Uniformstroy. Her goal was to bring down another company while earning from them. Voronenkov also got involved in this issue; at that time, in addition to the beginning of his political career, he was developing a business. It is difficult to call this business development because by joint efforts Voronenkov and Kondrashov began to seize enterprises in a raider way and build their empire on their basis.

Something went wrong

The long-term partnership between Voronenkov and Kondrashov received a new round in the early 2010s when Voronenkov was elected to the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the Communist Party. As a deputy, he repeatedly represented the interests of Kondrashov, moreover, in the dirtiest cases.

As a people’s choice, Voronenkov lobbied for the interests of the open-pit mine “Bungursky-Severny”, which belonged to Kondrashov, helped to close the criminal cases of the enterprise and act out of order, without bearing any responsibility.

The enterprise is mining and has repeatedly fallen into scandalous stories. Since 2010, in the distant Taiga, the enterprise began to come close to the villages where people lived. Of course, this did not suit the residents, and a guerrilla war began against the coal miners – road closures, mass pickets. And then, as it seemed, the enterprise made concessions. Residents were offered to draw up a social contract, according to which they do not interfere with the company’s work, and Razrez, in turn, repairs the water supply, street lighting and landscaping. But Kondrashov would not have been Kondrashov if people had not been thrown here. The promise was, as it were, fulfilled, but by analogy with other situations, everything was made from the cheapest possible materials, absolutely of poor quality. All this nonsense lasted until 2013, when the company finally left people in peace.

Also, LLC “Razrez” Bungursky-Severny “was noticed in violations of labour rules, which could lead to the death of employees. The court found that the enterprise was acting contrary to the project documentation, which could lead to the death of employees. None of the perpetrators was brought to justice.

As we can see, Voronenkov played the role of a guardian angel about Kondrashov, protecting all the criminal offences of the businessman with his status as a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

After his flight from Russia, Voronenkov lost the opportunity to resolve Kondrashov’s issues. The criminal oligarch realized that the former State Duma deputy is a waste material. In addition, he is also an important witness who, if he speaks, will sink Kondrashov’s business in an instant.

On March 23, 2017, on Taras Shevchenko Boulevard in Kyiv, the killer approached Denis Voronenkov from behind and fired 4 shots close at hand. At the beginning, the investigators stated that Voronenkov was removed at the command of the FSB so that he would not have time to testify. Further, the ex-husband of Voronenkov’s wife, crime boss Vladimir Tyurin, became a suspect in contract killing. But the deputy’s wife, Maria Maksakova, said these versions should not be considered. She added that the reason for the murder is purely economic.

As we can see, not many had economic interests with Voronenkov, so Stanislav Kondrashov must understand that the public knows that he ordered the resonant murder of the former State Duma deputy Voronenkov. The next move is for the police.
